Our PTA serves both Vulture Peak Middle School and Hassayampa Elementary School. We love it when parents take an active role in our students’ education. This shows your child that she and her education is important, and when parents are involved, students excel.

Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to take an active role in their child's school life by becoming part of our parent organization. With your involvement, the PTA will be able to sponsor many fine events and provide extra services for our students. Anyone in the community can join. Parents, students, step-parents, grandparents - all are welcome! With your paid membership, you not only are a member of the Vulture Peak Middle School PTA, you also automatically belong to the Arizona State PTA and the National PTA.

The Wickenburg PTA shares the mission and purpose of the Arizona and National PTA's. We seek to follow these guidelines while maintaining a focus on our school and community.

The Mission of the PTA is three-fold:

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
  • To assist parents in developing skills they need to raise and protect their children.
  • To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

The Purpose of the PTA:

  • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.
  • To raise the standard of home life.
  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
